My good Russian friends, the Goodman restaurant group, came up with a new concept of selling just lobster rolls with amazing recipes and mixtures of flavours. They found this great site just off Oxford st over two floors, the ground floor had a casual take away and sit in space to consume the lobster rolls and artisan soft drinks. Down in the basement there is a wine bar and restaurant.

The key design feature was the use of projectors to display images of mermaids swimming beneath the sea. The lighting had to be very atmospheric and we came up with the idea of making the floor float using a floor edge slot system as the main ambient lighting solution. Tables were picked up with 10degree spots so that no stray light detracted from the projected images. Upstairs we used lots of copper and created pendants from copper funnels which threw a lovely warm pattern on each table.

Unfortunately, this site didn't trade well enough and has been transformed into Burger & Lobster (owned by the same group) - see B&L Bond street.
