Yo Sushi

Leicester Square, London

We have worked with the Yo Sushi group completing various new sites and refurbishments of current restaurants. This existing site, just off Leicester square, required a very special window treatment as they didn't catch the footfall from Leicester Square that they deserved.

As the proud owner of a pair of Japanese sleeves and lover of Irezumi (the art of Japanese tattooing), I designed a window display featuring a shoal of illuminated koi carp in Irezumi style. I commissioned a good friend of mine, the tattooist Horikitsune, to paint 4 unique paintings of Koi which we would print onto laser cut acrylic 3D fish shapes with internal LED illumination. These were hung in a shoal formation in the window to create this striking display.

Internally we added a flowing display of mouth blown coloured glass shades over the sushi belt, along with various accent lighting to new features added by the designer.
